Her parents did not want her to work in restaurants, and so she started to study Law. However, her passion for food led her to find her way into every kitchen she could until finally, she, together with the person who would become her husband, opened the innovative restaurant Semproniana in Barcelona, as well as the restaurants Coses de Menjar, also in Barcelona and Acontecimiento in Lisbon. Ada Parellada has worked with different media and local Catalan television channels and has written books like La bona cuina catalana ("The Good Catalan Cuisine") (Ara Llibres, 2006) and "Com fet a casa" (Cossetània, 2010).
