Natalio Grueso is the Director of Teatro Español, the oldest non stop running theatre in the world, and Director of Preforming Arts of the city of Madrid. In this capacity he has produced several dozens of plays and festivals. He was previously Director General of the "Niemeyer Center Foundation” which manages the "Niemeyer Center” ("Centro Niemeyer”), the cultural complex in Spain designed by the legendary Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer. Some of the most relevant artists of the world worked together with him to create this project.

He was also Director of International Relations at the Prince of Asturias Foundation. This institution, presided over by HRH Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, Prince of Asturias, is aimed at promoting and supporting all those cultural, scientific and social activities which form the world heritage.

During his term as Director of Inter-regional Cooperation Programmes (Ecos Ouverture) at the European Commission, he managed some 250 cooperation projects in more than 40 countries, including, but not limited to, programmes in the Middle East (Israel and Palestine), South America (Mercosur), Central and Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, etc).

In his position as the Managing Director of DEX, Ltd. an international consultancy company, Mr. Grueso led several business missions in the Far East, including China, India, Singapore, Thailand or Japan.

He has been a consultant to several international institutions including the United Nations and Eurostat.

A graduate in Law & International Relations, fluent in five languages, he has been invited as speaker in conferences and seminars in more than 50 countries worldwide.
