is a journalist and holds a degree in English Philology. "El pont dels jueus”/ "El puente de los judíos” (Columna/ El Andén), published in march 2007 was his first novel and immediately converted in a bestseller, with fifteen editions in Catalan and eight in Spanish; it was also translated into Italian and Portuguese/ Brazil. Gironell is the author, among other titles, of "La venjança del bandoler”/ "La venganza del bandolero” (2008), winner of Nèstor Luján Historic Novel Award, and of "La ciutat dels somriures. Històries de supervivència a Bombai” (2005), published in Catalan by Cossetània and Spanish by Lectio Ediciones. He has worked in press, radio, and currently, works in the news of Televisió de Catalunya. He is a columnist at "El Periódico de Catalunya” and "El Punt”/ "Avui”.
