is a journalist, a writer and a musician. He has a Degree in Political Science and Sociology by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He contributes to different radio stations (RAC1, COM Ràdio, RNE-Radio 1 and Catalunya Ràdio) and TV channels (TVE, Televisió de Catalunya, 25 TV, Urbe TV and Canal Català Televisió). He has recorded an album as a singer with his own compositions and has given many others to different artists. Escamilla has also been the editor-in-chief in several magazines and press officer in publishing companies. He has written documentaries for television and directed a movie. Besides that, he has published around thirty books of all kind of genres. Some of them are: the collections of poems Jardí dels silencis and La casa del temps, the latter with a prologue by Serrat; the essays Els secrets dels carrers de Barcelona; Els millors anys de la nostra vida: els 60; Serrat, material sensible; Raimon, l’art de la memòria; Bon dia Catalunya: Salvador Escamilla, 40 anys d’ofici; Rubianes 100 x 100; or the most recent of all: La semilla de la felicidad. He has as well released short stories with the title Històries d’un taxi and has made his debut as a novelist with the praised Paraules d’amor.
