Is a journalist and writer. Since 1992 he has worked at El País, where he regularly publishes in the Culture section, in Babelia and in the weekly supplement. In addition, he has an opinion column in the Madrid section. He collaborates with Cadena Ser's program, La Ventana [The Window]. He has published four novels: Los ojos no ven [Eyes Don't See], a thriller with Dali's world as a backdrop; Preludio [Prelude], the story of León de Vega, a pianist obsessed with the 24 preludes of Chopin; Gordo [Fat], novel for which he received the prestigious Sent Sovi prize for gastronomic literature; and Yo, Farinelli, el capón [I, Farinelli, the Castrated One], where he explores the biography of the best castrated singer of all time. Placer contra placer, [Pleasure Against Pleasure], published by Aguilar, is a book on pleasure that is part essay and part memoir. His latest novel Ahogada en llamas [Smothered by Flames], Planeta, was launched on 2012 March 6th and in one month has sold more than 20.000 copies!
