He obtained his degree in Spanish at the University of Salamanca and then specialised in philosophy and the aesthetics of Romantic literature in Madrid. His work, whether as a writer, editor, or translator for different labels, has always been related to publishing.

Apart from many different jobs compiling information, documenting, proof-reading and editing texts for different publishers, he directed the revised edition of Charles Dickens' Christmas Stories (Espasa, 2011) and Anthony Trollope's classic The Barchester Towers (Espasa, 2008).
